About Bourbon City Rentals

Hi, we’re the Rossini family, a family of six.

In 2020 we decided to start investing in real estate. At the time we owned one property, rented out on a 12-month lease. That year we bought two houses that needed renovation and turned them into long-term rentals too.

In 2021 we found The Bonnycastle in Louisville. It was already a short-term rental and needed a little work, so we made an offer. I spent the next 45 days learning everything I could about short-term rentals and started Bourbon City Rentals. The goal was to build some financial independence, and along the way we found something we truly love to do. Hosting brings together my background in the service industry, my interest in technology, and my love of people and travel. Later that year we added a second short-term rental in Louisville.

That December we bought Mango Manor in Bradenton, before we had ever set foot in Bradenton or on Anna Maria Island. We fell in love instantly. It’s warm all year, so the beach and the pool are on the table every month. Anna Maria Island is a quiet, classic beach town with no high-rises, just palm trees and white sand beaches.

We loved it so much that in 2022 we bought another Bradenton home and turned it into a vacation rental: Tropical Vibe. In 2023 we took on our biggest project yet. We bought a home, completely remodeled it from the ground up, designed it for large groups, and opened it as Mermaid Manor.

Bradenton is an easy drive from most of the eastern US. You can fly into Sarasota (SRQ), Tampa (TPA) or St. Pete-Clearwater (PIE), and Tampa and Orlando are both an easy drive away.

Along the way we found our niche: large homes for large families and groups. A lot of rentals just cram extra beds into rooms. We design ours with intention, balancing big gathering spaces with private places to retreat, so no one ever feels crowded.
